LendInvest Capital appoints Scotiabank fund distributor to bolster team amid record growth
London, 20 May 2016 – LendInvest Capital, the fund management and advisory division of LendInvest, the UK’s leading online lender for mortgages, has appointed Jesse Mosebye from Scotiabank to join its expanding team.
LendInvest Capital, formerly Montello, has specialised in direct and secured real estate lending strategies since 2008.
The team manages over £85 million in two discretionary funds on behalf of institutional investors, banks, family offices and private clients located throughout the UK, Europe and Asia.
LendInvest Capital’s flagship fund, the Real Estate Opportunity Fund, is a Luxembourg-based SICAV which has returned between 8 and 10%

LendInvest Capital is expanding its team to accommodate growing investor interest in its strategy to capitalise on a bank funding deficit in the UK real estate lending market, targeting the sub-£5 million loan bracket. March 2016 was a record-breaking month for the team with total FUM increasing by 12% during the month.
Jesse joins LendInvest from Scotiabank where he spent five years in the European Capital Introductions team building investor relationships for the prime brokerage team’s hedge fund and asset management clients. He will work closely with Carl Giannotta, Associate Director, to broaden the team’s investor relationships among larger institutions including hedge funds, FoHFs and asset managers.
Rod Lockhart, Managing Director of LendInvest Capital, commented: “Jesse joins LendInvest Capital at an exciting time when interest is surging from investors attracted to our income-led, low volatility investment proposition. Jesse’s experience is a great fit for the LendInvest Capital team and his investor network complements our existing relationships very well.”
LendInvest, which was the UK’s first online lender for property, has now originated over £640 million of loans for borrowers seeking mortgage finance on terms lasting up to three years. The company’s team has grown rapidly in the last year from 30 to 100 employees, and has attracted £39 million in equity investment from two significant international investors, Beijing Kunlun and Atomico.
