We’re introducing you to our regional BDMs so you can learn more about the opportunities in their area and ways to connect with them.

For this week’s deep dive we are focusing on London and South East England, and our BDM Peter Olasoji, who’s been with us for 18 months but has only recently taken on this role. You can email him on: [email protected], connect with him on LinkedIn or call him on: +44 (0)7713 110 624.

How long have you been in the industry?

I started out in unsecured loans for SME’s in 2013 and joined Lendinvest in late 2018 to add property finance to my previous experience.

Having worked as an external BDM in my previous roles I’m excited to get back on the road meeting new brokers/ companies. The sense of accomplishment you feel when you’ve smoothly onboarded a broker and they begin sending enquiries is second to none.

When did you start working in/living in your region?

I’ve always lived in London, grew up here and I’ve been able to witness the many developments and complete transformations of certain areas.

What’s your favourite thing about the region?

I personally love a lot of the cities and counties in the South; Southampton, Brighton, London and Kent. I like how different the cities are as well as the large open spaces you can get out to visit. The weather is usually better down South too!

What are some of the challenges?

With this new normal things are definitely going to be different but my colleagues and those in the industry are maturely adjusting so I foresee operations changing for the better in some cases.

What are the opportunities in the region that you are seeing?

With the new stamp duty holiday there’s bound to be a rise in rental properties and we should also see strong house prices so I expect things to get busier in the 2nd half of this year.
