With 2016 at an end and heads turned to the challenges and opportunities of the year ahead, LendInvest hosted a roundtable earlier this month in partnership with Bridging Introducer, gathering a panel of expert voices together to garner industry opinion.

How did the market respond to the Stamp Duty changes of April? And what has been the impact of wider political shifts, such as Brexit, just a few months later? Bridging Introducer asked the best of the industry to reflect on these changes as well as the health of the bridging market over the last year.

Attending the discussion at our offices was Ashley Ilsen of Regentsmead, Jonathan Newman of Brightstone Law, Arwel Griffiths of Robert Sterling Surveyors, Phil Mabb of Bridging Development, Alan Dring of MAD Approach (Amicus) and Tarlochan Garcha of Kuflink.

Discussing themes of trust, developer experience and decision making within the market, our experts ended by reviewing the potential impact of technology on the sector as it moves forward.

The issue also features an interview with Ian Thomas, Matt Tooth and Gary Clark on LendInvest’s hopes for the year ahead, as well as an article by Matt Tooth on the importance of product variety when appealing to the short-term loan market.
