LendInvest members of the Association of Short Term Lenders

LendInvest are the only online mortgage lenders to be members of the Association of Short Term Lenders.

The Association of Short Term Lenders (ASTL) was set up in 2008 as a trade body to represent lenders who offer bridging or short term mortgage loans in the UK. It is the sole organisation that represents the lenders in the short term mortgage industry. Its objectives are varied, but include being the main industry body for discussions with the financial regulator, through to being a group that represents the ‘common interests’ of the best operators in the short term mortgage market.

LendInvest is very proud to be a member of the ASTL, as it allows us to work very closely with the other leading lenders in our market. There are various initiatives that this gives us access to, which includes processes that have been set up to avoid fraud being perpetrated by potential borrowers on group members.

ASTL membership requires all members to sign up to a code of conduct, which ensures that all members adhere to the highest industry standards. The ASTL looks to protect and promote the interest of its members and to give confidence to all parties who transact business with them.
Any potential short term mortgage borrower, should be very careful to ensure that their proposed lender is a member of the ASTL. You can see a register of the members here.
Bridging finance is a specialist area of the alternative finance market and the ASTL aims to promote a better understanding of the market by also working closely with intermediaries.
LendInvest are the only online mortgage lenders to be members of the ASTL giving us the benefit of truly being a member of the leading industry group for short term mortgage lenders.
The ASTL plays a very important role in the UK bridging market and we ask you to support their upcoming conference which takes place on the 16th of September. The event is aimed at decision makers to prepare their business for the opportunities and challenges facing the bridging mortgage sector. Click here for more information.
