Graham Noonan: Navigating the challenges in the development finance market

Graham Noonan, who sits within our development finance team has recently moved from being a Portfolio Manager to Relationship Manager covering the South of England and the Midlands. We sat down with him to get his thoughts on what the future holds in his new role.
I have recently been appointed as a Relationship Manager here at LendInvest, at a time when the government is navigating the economy through numerous challenges, with the intention to reduce inflation and avoid a further financial crisis. I too have questioned the timing of this move, but I feel that my previous experience in the development finance sector will be vital in understanding the challenges faced by property developers and supporting them through their journey.
Here at LendInvest we work with experienced mid-sized developers throughout Great Britain, providing a development finance product of up to £20 million, at 65% LtGDV. I am aware of the challenges faced by developers at this present time, including rising costs, shortages of labour, and delays in the planning departments and understand that we need to work with developers to provide a more flexible approach and offer a product that works.
My primary focus is to ensure I am available to support clients as they navigate the challenges faced and offer funding solutions that meet developer needs. The experience available at LendInvest ensures that we tailor our facility to the needs of the developer quickly and sufficiently and offer funding that supports them through to completion. In addition to this, I will look to continue to expand my connections throughout the industry and share my progress over the coming months.
I am confident that the industry will overcome these difficulties, as it is essential that we deliver on the homes required to reduce the housing shortage, with development continuing to be an essential driving force in growing the economy and I want to be at the forefront of this sector.
