The bridging portal is always evolving to give brokers – and ultimately their clients – a faster experience.
By bringing the latest technology together with the right experts, deals can progress smoothly and quickly, which we saw throughout 2022 where – despite economic challenges – we drove record levels of applications and business.
One of our internal BDMs, Mia Colgan, explains one of our latest improvements to the portal:
What do the new live updates show?
The live updates show the broker exactly what stage the case is at on the system and the remaining outstanding requirements that the underwriter needs from the broker i.e. ‘proof of deposit, proof of funds for works’ etc.
The underwriter assigned to the case will update and remove these requirements as they are satisfied, this way as a broker you know exactly where the case is at.
How do brokers access it?
Simple – just log into the portal, select the relevant corresponding case number (e.g UB-01000) and you will be able to see a list of requirements.
How do you think this improves the broker experience?
I think most importantly, this is going to make the broker experience a lot smoother and transparent.
Whenever I have used a service e.g. completing my own remortgage, there is nothing more satisfying that logging into a portal and seeing an outstanding list of requirements so I know straight away where everything is at and how close I am to completing.
Everyone is now busier than ever, so being able to see a simple list (especially when brokers have multiple deals with LendInvest at once) should make the whole process and journey a nice and simple one.
What does it mean for you and your team, more or less calls from brokers wondering where progress is?
This should technically result in less calls from brokers, asking for the status of an application and what is outstanding.
This also means that as a sales team, we can focus on our main objective of dealing with enquiries as quickly as possible and getting those new applications processed!
