Ranked 11th for rental price growth and 13th for yield in our latest BTL Index, Birmingham appears to be rapidly rising up the ranks as an attractive BTL investment for 2017.
But where is this growth stemming from?
Much like the Northern Powerhouse, the Midlands Engine has received an impressive cash injection of £392 million from the government. This funding is already committed to a variety of projects including the Paradise development and the Beorma Quarter.
Another major asset to Birmingham will be the HS2 railway scheduled to complete in 2032, providing improved connectivity and access to London. Various regeneration projects are also underway, including the £600 million redevelopment of New Street Station, and the extension of the Midlands Metro across Birmingham city centre.
Birmingham is currently enjoying a transformative time, named as one of the most investable cities in the UK. This is why we have recently launched our LendInvest Property Development Academy in Birmingham, to find out more click here.
